With their main office in Boston, Mintz Levin designed their new San Diego office to embrace their west coast location and not have a transplanted east coast aesthetic. The planning of the space was organized to take advantage of Pacific Ocean and Torrey Hills views. A curving wall housing vertical monitors displaying San Diego images arcs to lead your eye across the preserve and out to the ocean. The warm orange ,golds and browns of the dirt layers on the Torrey Pines clifts are reflected through out the space in the color palette. The beauty of the project location is highlighted by the design.
Mintz Levin made environmentally responsible finish material selections for their new offices. By utilizing reclaimed wood flooring, carpet manufactured from recycled fibers and counter tops from recycled glass, the Mintz Levin offices showcase the beauty of eco-friendly material choices. The comfort of the people living in the space is made a design priority. Exterior offices are full glass walls with over sized sliding glass doors. Daylight and people flow easily from the buildings exterior to the inner core areas. Formal reception areas are replaced by interactive coffee/meeting bars. Locations for video conferencing and presentations are available and easily managed throughout space. The space is designed to simplify daily tasks and encourage personal interaction. This project is really about an east coast law firm embracing their new San Diego home.
