Orchid Framework is East Village’s newest mixed-use apartment building located on the apex corner of 13th and F Street. Developed by Carleton Management, Inc. and designed by Joseph Wong Design Associates. San Diego-based custom design firm, Tecture, contributed to the common-space interiors. In addition, San Diego local artist Rafael López created the 8-story mural on the project’s east/south-facing exterior wall.
Carleton is a San Diego-based real estate owner/developer with strong ties to the East Village dating back 100 years as the Ratner Clothing Company and Hang Ten Clothing.
Framework is unique in that it features 87 fully furnished studios. In addition, the studios are outfitted with custom-designed modular furniture. The concept of smaller living spaces with thoughtfully-designed communal spaces serves those who want a more nomadic lifestyle.
