The site improvements at High Bluff Ridge transform underutilized outdoor areas into interconnected, multi-use spaces designed to promote interaction, wellness and productivity. Through communal outdoor amenities, the plan stitches together two office buildings that were previously socially isolated from one another, even at only a few hundred feet apart.

A central promenade between the buildings’ main entrances reinforces the connection between the offices. On either side lie an inviting series of garden rooms, including an outdoor office, living room and conference room, a tree-lined dining deck, a multifunctional lawn, and a wildflower meadow. These interconnected environments offer visitors and employees the opportunity to go outside and take a walk, work on their laptops under the grove or a shade structure, hold meetings in the conference room, lounge in front of a fireplace, eat lunch under the trees on the dining deck, and attend company events on the lawn.

At the transition between outdoor rooms, a “stitching element” joins the spaces through a series of long stone walls running laterally across the site. Sometimes overlapping, and sometimes standing alone, the multi-purpose walls serve as entry monuments, shade structures and seating elements. Together, the stitching elements and interconnected garden rooms unify the campus and promote health and wellness by providing ample opportunities to work and relax outdoors.
