Jamboree’s Milejo Village in San Ysidro, a groundbreaking 65-unit community, is providing innovative, supportive housing for 65 formerly homeless families in San Diego County. As a Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) pioneer, Milejo’s vibrant design and integrated social services are transforming lives and revitalizing the neighborhood. The multifaceted project features a mix of wood accents and metal panels, mirroring its versatile contributions to the community.

Supportive housing, a proven solution to end homelessness, forms the core of Milejo Village. Jamboree’s onsite programs, coupled with local community services, offer residents tailored support, including educational assistance, financial literacy, and additional resident services.

The 1.75-acre development, replacing two single-family homes from the 1930s, includes one to three-bedroom fully-furnished apartments. Amenities feature a spacious community room, resident lounges, a computer room, laundry services, a tot lot, BBQ area, pet area, and administrative offices.

Crucial to Milejo Village’s success is its comprehensive, dedicated services, provided with a ‘whatever it takes’ approach, ensuring stable, secure housing for these families, embodying Jamboree’s commitment to social responsibility and economic viability.
