Orchid The Restoration of the 1906 Mexican Presbyterian Church at 1313 J Street is a joy to behold. It is particularly exciting as it highlights the cultural heritage of the East Village. While many were advocating for demolition one could see the beauty it once was from early photos. this is an excellent example of adaptive reuse as one of East Village’s most valued historic buildings with a future as a restaurant or other business that is sure to be a destination point for locals as well as visitors.
