Town & Country Resort

Originally built in 1953, davisREED worked as the general contractor on this multi-million-dollar renovation and repositioning of the 675-room Town and Country Resort in San Diego. The new construction consists of a new state-of-the art lobby and entrance along with a new restaurant and market. The conference rooms, Regency Tower, and other guest rooms were also modernized on the inside and out. The site concrete and pools were demolished, along with a few existing buildings to make way for four new pools and landscape (one which is a slide pool). A new public park was also constructed on the San Diego River, along with additional street widening. 

In 2019 the Town and Country resort undertook a major renovation including upgrading guestrooms, adding new outdoor function space, a 10,000 square foot pool deck with a 4-story waterslide, new restaurants and lounges and a new lobby. The renovation pays homage to the resort’s nearly 70-year history with mid-century modern design and original artwork from local San Diego artists. With the renovation new complete, Town and Country Resort has ushered in a new era of hospitality. Not just as a celebration of what Mission Valley was, but a toast to what’s here and now.
